Patriotism in action. Opportunity for all Minnesotans.
Kristy has developed a vibrant, strong family of supporters through years of service to her community.
Friends, this is far bigger than me. It’s about all Minnesotans. It’s about you.
Have you ever read the story of the starfish thrower? It’s a tale of a little girl who walks the beach throwing starfish back into the ocean one by one. A passerby tells her it’s a futile task, as there are way too many, she can’t possibly make a difference. She responds, it sure made a difference for that starfish! I am tired of throwing starfish back into the ocean one by one. I am seeking this state senate seat because I believe I can make big change at the policy level and throw buckets full of starfish back into the ocean.
I believe residents across our district, whether in rural or suburban communities, have common goals:
-to feel safe in their neighborhoods and homes
-to access opportunities in the workplace to thrive economically, support their families, and pursue their life purpose
-to be connected to public services and infrastructure
-to live with dignity and self-reliance
As a veteran myself and someone who has assisted veterans with their federal and state benefits, I understand the challenges Minnesota veterans are facing. No veteran should be homeless, hungry, or uncertain how they will pay their bills.
Our district is seeing a great deal of residential growth. The need for reliable broadband services, safe roads and bridges, water resources, and sanitary sewer is increasing. Our communities need support in funding critical infrastructure projects including new public buildings and water plants.
District 37 should be a place to pursue your purpose and dreams. We should encourage the growth of our commercial and industrial industries, adding well-paying corporate careers, while fostering entrepreneurship, the trades, and supporting our small business community.
We need to give our law enforcement the tools to guard the public, build trust and collaboration with the community, and return safely home each day.
